Michael Jackson Planned to Sing Duet With Son

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson was planning to perform a duet with his son Prince, 12, during his upcoming sold-out London concerts.

Jackson, 50, died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.

The superstar singer was due to begin a series of comeback concerts with an appearance at the British capital’s O2 arena on July 13.

“He was planning on doing a short duet with his son, Prince,” Stuart Backerman, the singer’s former publicist, told Us Weekly magazine.

“He wanted his kids to see him perform at least once to get the vibe of the Michael Jackson mania.”

Randy Phillips — the boss of AEG Live, who was behind the 50 shows — said the singer had to be force fed as he prepared for the dates.

“He used to forget to eat because he was so focused and Kenny Ortega and I used to cut up his food and physically feed him,” Randy said.

“Frail, he certainly wasn’t. He was always very thin but not to the point where he couldn’t perform. He really kicked into high gear and was totally engaged in the last two weeks. Before that he was nervous and not really coming to rehearsals.”

Jacko’s memorial will take place on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 a.m. at the Staples Center. The program will be simulcast at Los Angeles’ nearby Nokia Theatre.

Jennifer AnistonJennifer Aniston thought Bradley Cooper was The One — but her relationship with The Hangover star is already over!

Cooper decided to call time his romance with Jen after she gave him her “relationship timeline” speech over an intimate dinner, according to the National Enquirer.

“Jen is devastated,” a source said. “She had high hopes that Bradley was the Mr. Right she’s been searching for.

“But he called Jen a few days after their big date and broke the news that he wanted to keep things casual and loose. Jen was mortified, but reluctantly agreed to save face.”

Aniston and Cooper were recently spotted enjoying a romantic date in New York City. Throughout the three-hour meal, the pair shared food and wine, laughed at one another’s jokes and “acted like two kids falling in love,” Star magazine recently reported. “I went over to say hi to them, and I noticed they were holding hands under the table because they let go to shake my hand,” an eyewitness told the mag.

“Jen gave Bradley her ‘relationship timeline’ speech over dinner, about how she wants to be pregnant within the year and for marriage to follow soon after,” explained the friend.

“He called Jen after he returned to L.A. a few days later, and told her flat out that he thought it best that they go back to being friends. Bradley said he’s not looking for any type of commitment.”

The next day, “Jen was withdrawn. She’d been up crying to her girlfriends about how she feels her love life is doomed,” the insider dished.

Michael Jackson’s Ex Wife: ‘He Broke His Promise’

Debbie RoweMichael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe says she’s seeking custody of the two children she had with the pop superstar — Prince, 12 and Paris, 11 — because Jackson “didn’t keep his end” of their agreement.

Rowe wed Jackson in 1996 (he was a patient in the dermatologist’s office, where she worked as a nurse). They divorced in 1999, but during their custody fight, she agreed to give up her parental rights, insisting Jackson was a good father.

Debbie has now vowed to fight for her kids.

“I want my children,” Rowe said during a 90-minute phone conversation Thursday morning with NBCLA.

Rowe says she will seek a restraining order to keep Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, away from the children.

Rowe said she was willing to submit to any testing, including DNA to prove that she is the children’s true biological mother. Rowe also said she would submit to psychological testing.

“I am stepping up,” she said. “I have to.”

“We had an agreement… he didn’t keep his end,” Rowe said, referring to Jackson’s death. “It hasn’t been easy. It’s been painful.”

Rupert Grint Doesn’t Know How to Spend His Money!

Rupert GrintRupert Grint says he has “no idea” what to do with all the money he has made from his film career.

“It’s taken me years to get used to being recognized in the street,” the Harry Potter star told Britain’s FHM magazine.

The 20-year-old also spoke of the “terrifying” moment he saw his picture being burned by religious fanatics.

“The most terrifying, though, was when I saw a picture in a newspaper of a book-burning in America’s Bible Belt.

“And there was a picture of my face smouldering on top of the pyre because they thought the Harry Potter films were endorsing witchcraft. That was when it hit me how big this thing had become.”

Grint says he doesn’t Google himself because he would “find the results too uncomfortable”.

“A lot of people think there’s something going on (between me and Emma Watson) because I have to kiss her on film soon,” he added.

Michael Jackson’s Memorial Finalized

Michael JacksonDetails for Michael Jackson’s public memorial have been finalized.

The farewell service for Jackson will take place on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 a.m. at the Staples Center. The program will be simulcast at Los Angeles’ nearby Nokia Theatre.

Jackson, 50, passed away Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles. It has been widely reported that an overdose of prescription is to blame for the superstar’s unexpected death.

In an interview broadcast Thursday on NBC’s Today show, the King of Pop’s older brother, Jermaine Jackson, said he wishes he had died instead of his superstar sibling.

“He went too soon. I don’t know how people are going to take this, but I wish it was me,” Jermaine said.

“I wanted to be there for him. I was there and he was sort of like molded. Things he couldn’t say, I would say them. During the trials, during everything …”

Jermaine said that when he rushed to UCLA Medical Center last Thursday, where Jacko was pronounced dead, “I wanted to see Michael, and I wanted to see my brother, and see him there lifeless and breathless was very emotional for me, but I held myself together, because I know he’s very much alive.”

“His spirit is, and that was just a shell, but I kissed him on his forehead and I hugged him, and I touched him and I said, ‘Michael, I’ll never leave you. You’ll never leave me.’”
