Tori Spelling in negotiations to star Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off

May 14 2008

Tori SpellingTori Spelling is reportedly in negotiations with the CW about reprising her role as Donna Martin in the network's upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off, which recently cast Jennie Garth as a counselor at West Beverly High.

"Jennie is already on board for the series and we have been in touch about it," Spelling tells People magazine. "I would love to see our characters Kelly and Donna together again and get the chance to work with my friend again."

All the show's main characters have been cast for the pilot -- except Harry Mills, patriarch of the Mills family who moves his family from Kansas to Beverly Hills so he can take care of his alcoholic mother.

Since the spin-off was announced, Spelling -- who starred in the hit 80s teen drama for 10-years -- has expressed a keen interest in starring in the show.

"It was always my dad’s dream and intention to make a new 90210 before he passed, so I know he is proud and he would be even more proud if I were a part of it," said Spelling, 34, of her late father, TV producer Aaron Spelling. "I truly hope for the fans’ sake that it all works out!"

However, a rep for the CW says, "At this point, there is nothing to report."

The Hollywood had true

The Hollywood had true royalty, Tori Spelling -- the daughter of Candy Spelling and the late Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling would be its reigning princess. And the princess is switching castles. Tori Spelling is appearing on a CW show, and it's not 90210.
